The Longtable: Volume 1
The LongTable is a powerful documentary directed by Jaron Marquis and produced by Kenya Ware and Jaron Marquis that brings together South Central Los Angeles Crips and respected community leaders for a real, unscripted conversation about the future of their neighborhoods. In a rare and intentional gathering, individuals from different sets and backgrounds sit face to face at one table to confront hard truths, challenge long-held narratives, and explore the impact of violence, division, and systemic neglect on their community. What unfolds is not a spectacle, but an honest dialogue—raw, emotional, and deeply human. As voices once separated by territory and tension speak openly, the film captures moments of accountability, reflection, and hope. The LongTable documents a courageous step toward unity, healing, and redefining what leadership and legacy can look like in South Central Los Angeles.
